The newly inaugurated Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has called for support and prayers from stakeholders and generality of residents in his council.

Aroyewun was among the new council Chairman of the 20 Local Government Areas (LGs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos State, that were sworn in by Governor Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the State House, Alausa, Ikeja, on Sunday.

He spoke with THE IMPACT, after his inauguration.

“I return all glory to God for today, because without him, there is no way that we all can be gathered here today for this historic event.

“It is a new dawn; a moment to reflect on the aspirations and needs of our people and time to accept the responsibility of taking up the mandate which we just did with the oath of office administered on us.

“The work has started and there is no looking back. As promised during the electioneering period, we will ensure that we actualize and deliver on our promises through the Ona Ogo Agenda.

“We can’t do it alone. We want everybody onboard. We want to partner and work with everybody. We want to carry everybody along.

“So, we want the stakeholders to partner and cooperate with us. We want your prayers, suggestions and ideas”, he pleaded.

While assuring that his administration will not disappoint the good people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Aroyewun added that all efforts put into his emergence can only make any meaning if he succeeds.

“The whole essence of our emergence is to turnaround our council and improve on every aspect of our existence.

“It is only when we achieve this that all the efforts put into our emergence will make any meaning, and we shall do everything within our power and ability to make sustained impacts”.

The chairman is expected to officially resume work on Monday to kickstart his four year tenure.
